NNPC pipeline explosion hits Delta

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, System 2B trunk line located very close to the David Ejoor Barracks, Effurun, near Warri in Delta State Tuesday evening went up in heavy flame till late this afternoon with no casualty recorded so far.
The System 2B trunk line supplies products to the Benin City depot and other depots in the Northern region of the country.
Though details of what caused the pipeline explosion has remain a mystery, it is a known fact that the trunk line bordering the Army Barracks has always went up in flames regularly due the activities of vandals and other hoodlums in the area even as close as it is to army surveillance.
